Full of excitement she sings & dances “Shine, shine, no excuse, this is the summer blues.” on June 21st, hugs the ones who stand aside by closing day & night of June 30th because this time, not like last year, is the chance to attend & attempt to meet the Festival Director Philip Nelson in person. So, our short with the longest title on the planet screens on the last day when the fearless Phil informs to go ahead with the final program & have fun, while he’s urged to the hospital. Mischance shock. Any reason why she’s named Maria Full Of Pain? She had planed to introduce us after the screening. Well, we attended the Award Show, didn’t win in our category but felt healthy about it to be there, not in the hospital. Manhattan Film Festival is for survivals, indeed!
